Have a yard sign and don’t want to just chuck it in the trash? Gregg Fishmann’s campaign has organized a one day recycling event.
From the Gregg Fishman for Supervisor FB page:
“Calling all candidates, campaigns, artists, art teachers, art students, crafters and hobbyists.
I am coordinating a project to collect campaign yard signs after Tuesday, November 3, and make them available for art and school projects, dioramas, crafts and hobbies.
The signs are not recyclable and will end up in the landfill unless we do this.
After Tuesday collect all the signs you can. If they are on private property you must get permission first! Please be careful on busy streets etc.
On Saturday, November 7, bring them to Habitat for Humanity Restore, 819 North Tenth street, Sacramento.
Sign Drop Off 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
Sign Pick Up 1:00 pm to 4:30
Please share this with your political / arts / education communities. Our goal is to collect thousands of signs, and have them all be reused, but special thanks to Atlas Disposal for taking care of any left overs.”
